Hospital Chaplaincy

Providing for the pastoral, religious and spiritual care of all patients, their relatives and carers, as well as the staff.

You don’t have to be religious to contact us.  All our chaplains are trained in pastoral care and offer confidential support. 

If you are admitted to hospital, the Chaplaincy team hold the rota of priests available for administering the Sacrament of the Sick, in emergencies at night.

A listening ear

Being in hospital can be a difficult time for patients and visitors alike. With so many things going on, it is sometimes helpful to talk to someone. 

Contact your specific priest

Please note:  To maintain your confidentiality we can only ever make contact with your local priest/ minister/ religious leader once you have made a specific request to us.

Holy Communion

If you would like to have Holy Communion brought to your bedside, this can be arranged on request.

Day and night emergency call-out service

If an emergency in your situation arises, and you need to see a chaplain urgently, please speak to a member of your healthcare team, who is able to contact one for you.
